Membership Campaign 2015

The Membership Campaign 2015 was inaugurated by Mr. RBU Shyam Kumar, CEO of New Generation Group (PuthiyaThalaimurai). He was the Campaign Commissioner which yielded a bumper collection of Rs. 1 Crore 40 Lakhs 15Thousand. The Vepery team won the Campaign Shield for highest Collection and they have also won the cup for highest number of Members. Esplanade grabs the 2nd Place. We record our thanks to all the Campaigners for their invaluable contribution.

Membership Campaign 2016

The Membership Campaign 2016 was inaugurated by Mr. A.D. Padmasingh Isaac, Chairman and Managing Director of Aachi Masala Foods (P) Ltd. He was the Campaign Commissioner which yielded a bumper collection of Rs. 1 Crore 41 Lakhs 24 Thousand. The RoyapettahTeam won the Campaign Shield for highest Collection and the Kodambakkam Team won the cup for highest number of Members. Kottivakkam Team won the Best Performance Award. We record our thanks to all the Campaigners for their invaluable contribution.

Founder’s Day & Membership Campaign Award Night 2017

YMCA Madras celebrated its Founder’s Day and Membership Campaign Award night on Tuesday, the 6^th June 2017 at YMCA International Youth Centre, Vepery. The meeting commenced with prayer by Mr. T. Isaiah Kumar,Board Member, YMCA Madras. Dr. Vincent George, President, YMCA Madras, welcomed the gathering and the Chief Guests for the day.Dr.C.Sylendra Babu,IPS, Addl. Director General of Police, Coastal Security Group was the Chief Guest and distributed the prizes.

Republic Day 2018

YMCA Esplanade Branch celebrated the 69^th Republic Day on 26/01/2018. The programme commenced with Tamil Thai Vaazhthu and Opening Prayer by Dr.N. Paul Sunder Singh, Vice-Chairman, YMCA Esplanade Branch. Er. Stephen Theodore, Branch Chairman welcomed the gathering. Mr. G.Bakthavathsalam, Secretary, YMCA Pattimanram hoisted the National Flag and gave Republic Day message. Mr.Kung-Fu Balu and his Trainees gave a special demonstration on Kung-Fu. Mr. Ivan Sunil Daniel, Secretary, YMCA Esplanade thanked those present.

YMCA Madras organized 175th Anniversary (Quartoseptcentennial Jubilee)

YMCA Madras organized 175^th Anniversary (Quartoseptcentennial Jubilee) of World YMCA and Membership Campaign 2019 Award Night on 6^th June 2019, at YMCA International Youth Centre in Vepery, Chennai. The Hon Justice Mr. Jacob Benjamin Koshy, the National President of NCYI was the Chief Guest and distributed Life Time Achievement Awards to Members & Staff. The newly elected officer bearers of the NCYI and Mr. Eldo George Varghese – Chairman Youth Participation and Leadership Development Committee (YPLD).

Covid-19 Relief Work

The program commenced with opening prayer by Mr.Gersholm Max Premson, Board of Director. Mr. B. Ravikumar David, Chairman extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Er.M.M.Selvakumar, Vice-President, Mr.J.Benjamin Franklin, Vice-President, Programmes& Activities, Dr.Vincent George, Hon. Treasurer, Mr. P. Asir Pandian, General Secretary & CEO, Mr. V.P. Muthu Williams, Board of Director, Mr. N.T.N. Gideon Thangaraj,Board of Director distributed Groceries and Vegetables to 70 families of VBS students. Branch Secretary Mr. Ivan Sunil Daniel proposed the vote of thanks.

The YMCA Madras donated Rs. 15 Lakhs towards the construction of 3 Classrooms/lab for the Indian Missionary Society School at Dornapal, Chattishgar. This school mainly serves the educational needs of the Tribal Children. The dedication was held on 27^th September, 2021 in the presence of President Dr.Vincent George and the Board of Directors Mr. P. S. Selwyn Devadoss and Mr. Gideon Thangaraj. The General Secretary of IMS Rev. Kingsly John Stephen dedicated three class rooms for the glory of God.
