Started distributing Covid kit containing washable/reusable mask, sanitizers and soap. Hopefully to reach at least 10000 people.
Handing over of 3000 masks, hand sanitizers and soaps to the Government Hospitals, Railway Police under Government of TN and Primary health centres by our President Mr. Martin Kennedy, our Hon. Treasurer Dr. Vincent George. The Director of Omadurar Government Super Speciality Hospital and the DSP Mr. Edward received the items.
YMCA Madras has distributed 4000 food packets for the past 21 days to the migrant workers, health care staff and Police personnel through the designated Government officials. Thanks to Office Bearers and Directors of YMCA Madras for distributing and for their financial contribution for this noble cause. We are committed to do till the Lockdown on 3rd May 2020. YMCA Madras today distributed dry ration for the people who lost their livelihood due to the Lockdown for Covid. Today Shri Gagandeep Singh Bedi-Principal Secretary/Commissioner for the Greater Chennai Corporation handed over dry ration to the poor people living in the slums near Chennai Central Railway station. Dr. Vincent George,President-YMCA Madras and Regional Chairman-Southern Region of YMCAs of India, Mr. Benjamin Franklin,Vice President-YMCA Madras & Correspondent/Secretary-YMCA College of Physical Education & Mr. B. Ravikumar David, Vice President-YMCA Madras and P. Asir Pandian, General Secretary & CEO-YMCA Madras were present on the occasion.
