COVID-19 RELIEF WORK Date: 20.05.2020 Time: 11.00 A.M.

The program commenced with opening prayer by Mr.Gersholm Max Premson, Board of Director. Mr. B. Ravikumar David, Chairman extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Er.M.M.Selvakumar, Vice-President, Mr.J.Benjamin Franklin, Vice-President, Programmes& Activities, Dr.Vincent George, Hon. Treasurer, Mr. P. Asir Pandian, General Secretary & CEO, Mr. V.P. Muthu Williams, Board of Director, Mr. N.T.N. Gideon Thangaraj,Board of Director distributed Groceries and Vegetables to 70 families of VBS students. Branch Secretary Mr. Ivan Sunil Daniel proposed the vote of thanks.

COVID – 19 RELEIF WORKS

YMCA Madras, Royapettah Branch hadextended support to the Chennai Corporation and the general public by giving the Royapettah ground for vegetable market from the month of April 2020, at free of cost. 50 Groceries kit to Transgenders and 50 Groceries kit to the people of Nayambakkam village were distributed on 20^th May 2020.KabasuraKudineer and NilavembuKashayamwas distributed to the shop keepers at the premises and to the public

Groceries and Covid-19 kit were distributed to 60 basket weaving families living inPurasaiwakkam Area. President Adv. Martin Kennedy, Board of Directors Adv. Packianathan Easter, Mr. Samuel, Mr. Alex Madhavan, Ps. Reenu Kumar, Mr. Rajjiv George, Mr. Gideon Thangaraj, Mr. Selwyn Devadoss, Branch Chairman Mr.T. Isaiah Kumar, Vice-Chairman Mr. David, Arumugam, Mr. Alex Franklin graced the occasion with their presence and distributed Groceries & Covid-19 kit with the guidance of Dr. Vincent George, Hon.Treasurer, Mr. P. Asir Pandian, General Secretary & CEO of YMCA Madras. Mr.R.Richard Ezekiel, Addl. General Secretary-Finance, Asst. Secretaries Mr.Abraham, Mr.Selwyn and Mr.Nelson had coordinated the Covid-19 relief work.

COVID-19 RELIEF WORKS Date: 25.04.2020

Groceries and vegetables were distributed to about 250 underprivileged families. Er.M.M.Selvakumar, Vice-President, Mr.P.Asir Pandian, General Secretary & CEO, Mr. V.P.Muthu Williams-Board’s representative distributed the same. Grocery and Covid-19kit was distributed to about 100 persons from Stringers Street, Vepery. Mr. Eswaran, Assistant Commissioner, Mr. Nagaraj, Inspector, Mr.R.Richard Ezekiel, Addl. General Secretary, Mr. Rajjiv George, Board of Director, YMCA Madras distributed the same at G1 Vepery Police Station.

The programme commenced with the prayer by Mr.AbrahamKirubakaran, Committee member. Mr. P. Asir Pandian, General Secretary & CEO briefed the gathering about the various relief works done by YMCA Madras. 75 kits containing 25 materials were distributed to the under privileged beneficiaries from the local area. Mr. Alex Franklin, Chairman, Mr. Agathian Pandian, Vice-Chairman, Mr.AlexMadhavan, Mr. Easter Packianathan, Mr. Gideon Thangaraj, Board of Directors were present.

AsirPandian, General Secretary & CEO, Board of Director Mr.AlexMadhavan, Kodambakkam Chairman Mr.Alex Franklin, Committee Members and sponsors graced the occasion with their presence and distributed the Groceries, Vegetables &Covid-19 kit.

WEBINAR ON POST COVID 19: COPING WITH MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES Date: 19.08.2020 Time: 5.00 P.M.

Mr. P. S. Selwyn Devadoass, Chairman extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Mr.M.Mathiyalagan, District Child Protection Officer, Kanchipuram extended special greeting. Mr. S. Edwin Abraham, Addl. General Secretary gave a brief introduction about YMCA Madras. Mrs. Tamilkanni, Teacher, YMCA Boys Town HSS, Kottivakkam introduced the Chief Guest, Mrs. Alima Zehra, Head, Department of Psychology, CTTE College for women. The Chief Guest motivated the gathering through her inspiring speech. Mr. A. Alwin Raja, Secretary, YMCA Boys Town Destitute Home proposed the vote of thanks.

RELIEF & REHABILITATION DISASTER PREPAREDNESS MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

Samathuva Pongal was celebrated on 25^th January 2020, Pongal gift pack was distributed to 300 families. Foundation stone for Community hall was laid by ThiruO.S.Manian, Hon’ble Minister for Handlooms and Textiles, Govt. of Tamil Nadu. The Community Hall work was started in March 2020.YMCA Madras, Board of Directors and Office Bearers visited the houses and community hall on 17^th& 18^th March 2020.
